Contest: Summer Adventures

Ok, Basically I want to host another contest to promote this club's activity, as it has gone quite a bit stale.

Here's an easy one: Draw or Write about some summer adventures featuring your fave pokemon. Summer's coming to an end, and school is soon starting up again, so why not write about it? Some people make comic strips, some people write prose, some people paint. Whatever medium you want to use (flash even), as long as DA wont molest you for posting it.

I will submit something too, but under the circumstance of people participating. There's no actual physical prize for winning, except you knowing that you can draw or write better than some other people in this club. Ok, not better, just.. more convincingly.

Please NOTE the club, reply with a link here, or post your entry on the front page of the chu-club to enter. And of course, say that its for the contest; otherwise I'll assume its art that you'd like to see faved.

I wanted to thank *ILoveHamHam for submitting a pic to the contest. She may win this one because of being the only entry. I sent a note to all the club members that had pokemon in their icons, reminding them about the contests. Should they not respond or have entries by the end of this month, *ILoveHamHam will win the contest by default.

This is for competition sake. All you Pichu fans, draw a Pichu! All you Pikachu fans, draw a Pikachu. All you Raichu fans, draw a Raichu. Nothing special, just the 'chu on it's own. Cheering, sitting, doesn't matter. The point is that the winning picture will be on the "mascot" so to speak of the different 'Chu teams. If anyone has ideas or questions concerning this contest, please contact the Chu-Club about it using a *NOTE*. Please don't expect quick answers. I'm half-tempted to run this contest for an entire year to ensure quality AND quantity in submissions. Also, a quick reminder, fellas... *ILoveHamHam is the only one to have submitted a pic for the Summer Adventures Contest. We need submissions. Thanks!

We're still looking for an admin to run this joint, because I no longer have an internet connection at home, and I am currently finishing College. Hopefully power can be shared or taken over by someone willing to keep this place good and active.

New Avatar
Timothius here. Chu-club has a new avatar. Currently, it's a place-holder and needs a few refining touches, but all in all, I like how it turned out. BUT YOU CAN BE INVOLVED!! I thought it might be nice if the winner of the contest could have an icon-sized version of their pic as part of the chu-club avatar for a month (or until the next contest is won)!
